Gravity conditioning

I've been lifting weights on and off for some time, but only today have I got it in mind that that is the wrong way to stay in shape.

Just this past week I decided to do some pull ups, some dips and some push up, pretty basic exercises, however hat happened next surprised me.

I couldn't do one pull up!

I could do about 3 dips!

I could do about 15-20 push ups.

I was amazed, years of bench presses, curls, etc and I failed at the most basic exercises know to man. There's just a difference between gym strength and "functional" strength it seems.

Lately Ive been only exercising using my own body weight and gravity. Push ups, dips, lunges, pull up, etc. And so far I feel like I'm working myself more and I see a major difference in overall leaness instead of just muscle build up. I'm thinking this is the way I want to go from here on out.

Going back to the TMobile G1

Been a couple months since I went from this phone to a very simple, $20 phone from Walmart. My main reason was the complete lack of battery life. I would have to charge the phone more than once per day, which is just ridiculous, no matter what the capabilities of the phone.

T-Mobile's announcement of a new Android phone piqued my interest in the platform again. The new phone does not have a physical keyboard and makes use of the Android OS update called "Cupcake". I got my ole G1 out, charged it up and waited for the Android update to come through so I could try it out. My patience lasted about 5 minutes after which I downloaded the update online, then installed it myself.

I must I like the keyboard but it just cannot compare to a physical keyboard for someone like me who can be typing all day long. Seems the new phone would just not be that useful. The update though seemed to so another amazing thing. My battery seems to last longer. I've had it on about half a day now and have been texting a fair amount and still have over half a battery left.

So as of the moment I'm VERY happy that I can continue to use my $400 phone without worrying about charging it twice a day.

Opera Unite - Blogger Working

So I got Blogger working with the old template system, all being hosted on my OWN FREAKING MAC through Opera Unite, which is just an amazing service. Opera has a new fan in me. No more paying a web host just for a personal page. I have as much storage as my hard drive allows to share files and pictures, and it was all very easy to set up.
